A second successive victory, in the EFL Championship, has left us all with a smile on our faces this morning.
But, boy, did we make hard work of it!
Sheffield Wednesday arrived at Kenilworth Road, for that rarity of a fixture, a 15:00 hours Saturday kick-off, with an identical record to the Hatters with just four points on the board.
Unfortunately, despite our win at Millwall the previous week, it was the visitors that had the better of the first half, although it ended all square without the scoreboard being troubled.
The Owls continued to have the better of the play, with the Hatters looking lacklustre, and it came as no surprise when they took the lead, through their diminutive midfielder Barry Bannan.
But far from demoralising the Hatters, the goal seemed to galvanise them.
Rob Edwards brought on a raft of substitutes, including Thomas Krauß for his debut, and Carlton Morris.
It was the latter that was to turnaround the game.
With seventy-four minutes played Di’Shon Bernard blatantly handled the ball, in the penalty area, resulting in a spot-kick being awarded. Bernard was, immediately, shown a red card but took an age in leaving the pitch, something the authorities surely must start to crack down on.
Morris, without a goal so far this season, stepped forward and, despite the long wait, cooly slotted home from twelve yards out.
Kenilworth Road was now bouncing, and it looked to be only a matter of time before Luton Town were to go on and snatch a winner.
However, despite pinning Sheffield Wednesday back, we had to wait until the eighty-eighth minute for that winning goal and, once again, it was to be Carlton Morris who was to be the hero with the striker pouncing to score and give the Hatters six points out of the last six available – promotion form.
The win lifts the Hatters to fifteenth position in the table and now the emphasis will be on making it three wins from three games when they face Plymouth Argyle, next Friday evening, at Home Park.
With Plymouth, managed by Wayne Rooney, below us in the table, it really is a game we should be looking to win.

Anyone happy with that performance is deluded. Yet again Edwards is reacting late and not being proactive and has no way of playing in any other shape. Yet again slow to get any rhythm going and Chong and ady doesn’t work a blind man can see that. He isn’t a great coach pep and all the great coaches will change things as soon as they realise plan a won’t work even .30 mins into a game .it’s just not good enough for a Luton team.
Edwards is on borrowed time as manager he is tacticaly poor playing one upfront at home is a joke he has to realise his mistake or it will cost him his job sooner rather than later
