Luton Town – It Is Just Not Going To Happen

Last weekend, I ran an article relating to the possible signing of an unwanted midfield maestro.

The article, accompanied by a poll, discussed the possibility of Luton Town being fortunate enough to sign the Arsenal out-of-favour midfielder Emile Smith Rowe – luton-town-linked-with-interesting-midfield-acquisition

Still only 23-years-of-age, Smith-Rowe has been squeezed out of contention for a regular starting place at Arsenal and is looking to rebuild his career elsewhere.

I mentioned that Luton Town were successful in acquiring the services, on loan, of Albert Sambi Lokonga last season and perhaps, just perhaps, a similar deal could be agreed with Smith-Rowe being the ideal replacement for the departing Ross Barkley.

As far as the aforementioned poll went, it ended up being the most populated poll we’ve, since I’ve been sat in the editorial chair, run.

The result turned out to be pretty even but, eventually the NO’s took it with 54% of the votes cast, indicating that the belief that Emile would become a Hatter was nothing more than a dream.

Even more so when an article doing the rounds, published by – Footballer Insider 247 – suggests that Arsenal are only prepared to sell Smith-Rowe if a fee in the region of £30 million is offered and, not being detrimental in any way to the Hatters, that is not the kind of deal we attach ourselves to is it!

Time to look elsewhere, has anyone got any sggestions as to who Rob Edwards and the team should target?
