Before the Good Friday fixture, against Nottingham Forest, I intimated I thought we needed another nine points to secure a play-off place.
Well, after a fantastic Easter whereby we not only beat Nottingham Forest, but also travelled to South Wales and, with an injury depleted side, also beat Cardiff City, I reckon the Hatters are now just three points away from clinching a play-off place.
Victories by a 1-0 score line seem to the way forward as we battle injuries and with games against Blackpool (h), Fulham (a) and Reading (h), I’m confident that we can get those three points needed.
But it is going to be a nail-biting affair as the tail-end of the 2021/2022 is sure to provide numerous twists and turns.
Yesterday, against Cardiff City, the Hatters, fielding an injury hit XI and also suffering three further injuries during the game, had to dig deep to clinch a win in a game of few chances but it was something that was appreciated by those that frequent social media:
That is one hell of a win. Superb three points. #COYH

Massive win. A lot of guts to win that match with three players going down with injury. What a team. What a time to be a @LutonTown fan.#COYH

Shows how good the team is to play poor and still get results

Next up are Blackpool, a side that put six goals past Birmingham City, on Easter Monday, it’ll be tough and gawd knows who’ll make the starting eleven, but one thing you can be sure of, the side selected will give their all and that is all we can ask.
