Last night, the Hatters almost pulled off what many people, back in August, thought was nothing but a dream.
Football, as we know, is a game of fine margins.
If Luton had scored one of the many first half chances they created, against Huddersfield, I’m convinced, today, we’d be talking about our first appearance at the new Wembley and fighting for a place in the top-flight.
But football is a game of ups and downs, an emotional rollercoaster but, nevertheless, the greatest game on this planet.
Today, we all have our thoughts on last night, but it is pleasing to see that most posts left on social media are very positive.
I could have selected dozens and dozens to illustrate that view but, instead, I’ve selected just a few:
No other club has been where Luton have the last 15 years and come back to where we are. Our fans “get it”. What a journey 🎩 🧡 and what a club

Every single person connected to this great club has done us proud this season. It’s been an amazing season and can’t wait for next season when I’m sure we will be even stronger

Couldn’t agree more.
So proud of the team, Nathan, Mick and the coaching staff and all behind the scenes.
Played so well tonight BUT Life doesn’t always bring what we deserve… but we have a great basis on which to build for 22-23. Wembley next May anyone??— Dave Brown (@revdmbrown) May 16, 2022
From the lows of Preston away to the highs of Bournemouth at home. From Alex palmer to Danny Hylton. Nathan jones to mick harford. Thank you all for the best season possible, there isn’t a better team to support in the whole world. Thank you Luton town.

But nothing sums things up better than the following:
I didn’t think within 8 yrs of being thrown out the league we’d be 2 games from the top flight. A game too far with the injuries but so bloody proud of everyone at the club for all their efforts. Can’t wait for next season #COYH 🧡🖤🤍

COYH’s
Let’s dust ourselves down, roll with the emotions and go again next season.
