Last night, the Hatters almost pulled off what many people, back in August, thought was nothing but a dream.

Football, as we know, is a game of fine margins.

If Luton had scored one of the many first half chances they created, against Huddersfield, I’m convinced, today, we’d be talking about our first appearance at the new Wembley and fighting for a place in the top-flight.

But football is a game of ups and downs, an emotional rollercoaster but, nevertheless, the greatest game on this planet.

Today, we all have our thoughts on last night, but it is pleasing to see that most posts left on social media are very positive.

I could have selected dozens and dozens to illustrate that view but, instead, I’ve selected just a few:

what an emotional rollercoaster this season has been. so many games we should have won, and this was definetley one of them. i thought huddersfield would have played much better, but we crushed them, and we lost by a toe poke of a goal. every single luton player sweated blood last night,a truly great performance that will be remembered for a long time. a massive thankyou to every body at the club that have given the fans so much enjoyment this season. heres hoping we can repeat it again next season. cant wait for next season already, funny old game! What a truly gallant effort all around. Not having our main goal scorer Adebayo available for the playoffs has almost certainly cost us, especially with so many chances created in both games. It is what it is and we move on to bigger and better things next season.
