I can’t help, I can’t help but, after another defeat, on the road, take a look at the social media response.

And, as I anticipated, it doesn’t make for pretty reading.

But, instead of concentrating on the somewhat vitriolic responses from the Hatters support following another loss, I thought I’d see what the Leeds United supporters are thinking about us and it makes for interesting reading.

It appears that the good folk of Yorkshire are somewhat puzzled and concerned as to how far and how quickly we have sunk.

Have a read and see what you think.

First up:

Damning to say the least, were we really that bad?

Second up:

A League One team, funny you should say that as a lot of Luton Town supporters have that forboding feeling that is where we are currently heading.

Third up:

It seems an age since we flirted with the big boys of the Premier League and, at times, held our won, what the heck went wrong so quickly?

Fourth up:

Steady the ship, now that would, the way we are going, be something to behold.

But, nevertheless, a trip to Norwich beckons this weekend, perhaps there’ll be a complete turnround and we’ll get a rare away win, anyone remember Millwall, it seems an age ago!

Norwich City v Luton Town?

Norwich City to Win!

Norwich City to Win!

Luton Town to Win!

Luton Town to Win!

A Draw!

A Draw!

they say things can only get better? COYH.

  • Chris winter says:

Sorry Jimbo, I just can’t see it getting better in fact under this regime only worse. Sorry for him but Rob has fall on his sword and resign now.and give the new manager (cooper)? A chance to change things before Xmas and bring in players and cull the deadwood.

    • Mad Hatter says:

time is running out, bottom 3 at Xmas won’t bade well for our end of season finish!

    • Chris Bedford says:

Other clubs fans wonder whats happened

I would have thought that the major factor in the stark contrast between our showing last season in the PL and now is obvious.

      Barkley

      • Alan says:

And what exactly did barkley do & what would change if he was here now. Our midfield is so lightweight. He was a good ball player, but couldn’t tackle a breakfast. We need some steel in there, Horton, nichols, to name but to. And oh for a John Moore, Steve Foster at the back.

  • Patrick Pearse lynch says:

Don’t know what’s gone wrong ,players going through the motions and look like they do not care ,should look themselves in the mirror as they could cause the manager his job and that’s not fair on Rob Edwards as I think he was great last year, hope he can turn it around before it’s too late .

    • Chris winter says:

Yes he was good because he was not under any pressure to succeed Patrick he inherited a good squad got promoted on it and made a fist of staying up.But face up to facts he’s now proving he doesn’t have it when things are going wrong he’s a one trick pony can’t change his system the players no longer seem to trust it and aren’t playing for him so he has to go now.

same old same old boring clueless football, tap tap tap hoof …

  • Bill says:

Please, Gary Sweet grow a pair and get rid of RE before it is too late. Use the January window to get at least a better midfielder and a striker. Problem is, who would want to join this current Luton team?

  • Mike Grice says:

Barkley, Lokonga, Kabore, Osho, Berry, Lockyer, Ogbene all gone, albeit Lockyer may be temporary. Anyone who thinks we are playing a pretty much unchanged team from the prem is delusional. Gary Sweet has come out blaming unscrupulous agents for an underwhelming transfer window. Pretty pathetic really, all clubs are in the same boat, No one has even mentioned our head of recruitment. even though he’s getting paid good money to do a job. Sweet has acknowledged the problem, stating that a recruitment expert is on the wish list. At least the club is acting I suppose. Hopefully it wil result in no more experimental injury magnets being recruited. I think a punt on one or two might be ok but we have too many. Our current situation is that a lot of supporters believe our team is actually better than it really is, and the resulting expectation only compounds the problem. Not only did we lose some talent in the names listed above, we also lost a lot of desire and mental fortitude. The glue, so to speak. Rob Edwards has become the scapegoat for this mess of a team, and while I question his tactics like everyone else, I don’t believe this team is capable of sustained improvement at the moment, regardless of who is in charge. The root of the problem goes back to that woeful transfer window and squarely on the club, or should I say corporation nowadays? That’s my 2 cents worth anyway
