Defence, Midfield, Attack, In That Order

On the back of the many departures, from Kenilworth Road, this summer and with the 2024/2025 season approaching, I recently asked an intriguing question.

Using our poll facility and with the summer transfer window open until the end of August, I asked:

Luton Town – Which Position Needs Strengthen The Most?

I gave our readership three options to choose from:

1 – DEFENCE
2 – MIDFIELD
3 – ATTACK

I was not sure which way the result would go, but it appears the majority of those that voted were in no doubt.

A massive 54% went for the DEFENCE option, clearly apprehensive about losing Gabe Osho, the number of goals we conceded last season and the number of injuries our defence picked up last season.

Finishing second in the poll, with 38% was the MIDFIELD, the area, after losing both Barkley and Lokonga, I would have opted for.

As for the remaining 8%, they went for the ATTACK, giving a clear indication that many believing that if we can hang on to our plethora of forwards, we should be scoring enough goals to launch a promotion bid.
