This Friday evening Luton Town welcome West Bromwich Albion, to Kenilworth Road, for an EFL Championship fixture.
It is a game in which the Hatters need to show a definite improvement on the performance given, last Saturday, when, despite leading 2-0 at half-time, they lost 3-2 away to Coventry City.
I’ve mixed opinions when it comes to Friday night fixtures, a win can set you up for a buoyant weekend while a loss can put a serious dampener on events.
Despite our, on the whole, poor form this season, I’m always optimistic that those wearing our famous shirts can deliver the goods, despite, in recent times, ending up being disappointed.
But I have to ask if the resolve, amongst the support, is waning.
The reason I ask is that in our pre-match result polls, those who participate the majority usually predict a Luton Town win, or at the very least a draw.
Sadly, the poll ahead of the game is very different with 57% of those that voted going for a West Bromwich Albion win.
With regards to the remaining voters, 27% are predicting a Luton Town win and 16% a draw.
Have things really got that bad?

Luton Town – Time To Mix It Up Rob
on current form we should roll over and get beaten in the second half. hope i am very wrong, and the players do what they are paid for. this season we should be encouraging our great young players into the team. hopefully they won’t be so susceptible to injury. at this moment in time, i will be happy to stay in the championship, forget promotion. this massive problem with injuries needs to be addressed, no more injury prone signings might help.COYH.
I’m sorry to say mh. It appears many of us have no confidence in how we are going to play we could be good or we could be bad . We are not playing with any consistency at the moment and when we do it’s mostly bad . I wish I could be more optimistic but I can’t at the moment.
Not a good couple of months for fixtures, unfortunately.. although we raise our game against the larger teams (or more accurately, these teams aren’t raising their games against us)…
So hoping to be surprised come the end of December and my pessimism proven to be in vain.
