Trust in Luton, rightly furious at the club’s announcement of their refusal to allow the trust to nominate a member to sit on the club’s board in honour of a previous agreement, will drop leaflets at today’s game with Nottingham Forest.

The leaflet summarises many fans’ grievances at the way the club has been run and the broken promises regarding transparency and asks some very pertinent questions. It also highlights the contradictory information which has been disseminated to the fan base and asks ‘Are you happy to have lost your right to a say in your football club?’

The club announced yesterday that the holding company Jayten Stadium Limited has been renamed as Luton Town Football Club (Holdings)Limited in a bid to distance the club from the Junction 10 option for the new stadium location.

Cherry Newbery has been appointed as Company Secretary of Luton Town Football Club Limited, and Company Secretary to the newly renamed holding company and takes up both of her new positions with immediate effect. She will also retain position as Club Secretary.

David Pinkney is reported on the club’s official website as saying:

‘The holding company name change reflects my determination to draw a line under the past and I welcome Cherry’s appointment as another positive step in moving the business forward.’

Cherry commented:

‘I am delighted to accept the positions offered and feel extremely positive about the many changes that are taking place at the Club. It takes time for new management both on and off the pitch to fully implement their vision and I believe that the Club is heading in the right direction.’
