It has been a couple of days since I last ran one of our ‘Played For Both’ articles so I thought I’d make amends.
With the Hatters having a late kick-off, in their FA Cup 4th round tie against Cambridge, to suit television requirements, I though the timing was perfect for an out-of-the-box random article.
Last time around, I went for – Oxford United
this time around I’ve gone for a club that are Midlands based, are just up the M1 and have experienced wonderful times recently, winning the Premier League and the FA Cup, Leicester City.
After a lot of mulling over, I’ve come up with the following XI (plus substitute):
Goalkeeper – Ben Alnwick
Defender – Max Dougan
Defender – Curtis Davies
Defender – Matthew Upson
Defender – James Justin
Midfielder – Garry Parker
Midfielder – Ricky Hill
Midfielder – Scott Oakes
Forward – Alan Birchenall
Forward – Steve Howard
Forward – Mike Newell
Substitute – David Oldfield
But can you think of any other individuals that deserve a mention?
I can recall several, but I could only pick twelve for the above side.
If so, simply drop their name into the comment facility beneath this article.
