Time to slip another random ‘Played for Both’ before we start to concentrate on the Championship fixture, at Reading on Wednesday evening.
This time around, I’ve chosen a club who have dominated the Premier League news, over the last 12 hours or so, Everton.
For once, I didn’t have to dig too deep to get a decent starting XI, my only struggle being a full back.
Hey, I even found us a decent substitute and, even if I say it myself, the midfield quartet are a decent match for anyone.
So here is my starting XI (+substitute)
Goalkeeper – Alec Chamberlain
Defender – Brendan Galloway
Defender – Matt Jackson
Defender – Colin Todd
Defender – John Bramwell
Midfielder – Andy King
Midfielder – Bruce Rioch
Midfielder – Don Hutchison
Midfielder – Mark Pembridge
Forward – Jimmy Husband
Forward – Mike Newell
Substitute – Imre Varadi

Another good shout
Billy Bingham was a really good goal scoring winger in the 1959 Cup Final team and we were all disappointed when he was sold to Everton.
In exchange we took Alec Ashworth who was a regular scorer and a strong presence up front.
He didn’t stay here or anywhere long. My mates Dad said he had a weakness for fast women and slow horses.
