Catching up with the events of Friday afternoon, whereby the Hatters announced not one but two signings, it is time for another of our mini fact files.

After covering Cameron Jerome yesterday – the-cameron-jerome-file – today it is time to focus on our new midfield signing, Henri Lansbury:

Full Name – Henri George Lansbury

Date of Birth – 12-October-1990

Place of Birth – Enfield, London

Height – 6 feet

Youth Career – Norwich City, Arsenal

Professional Career – Arsenal, Scunthorpe (loan), Watford (loan), West Ham United (loan), Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, Bristol City

International Experience – England U16, U17, U19, U21

Facts and Figures:

• Signed for Arsenal as a schoolboy after being on the books of Norwich City.

• Made his debut for Arsenal, against Sheffield United, on 31-October-2007 coming on as an 83rd minute substitute.

• Signed his first professional contract for Arsenal on 01-July-2008.

• After loan spells with Scunthorpe and Watford, he made his Premier League debut for Arsenal, against Fulham on the last day of the season.

• Despite being tipped by Arsene Wenger that he will ‘be a big player’ further loan spells at Norwich City and West Ham.

• While at West Ham, he took a stint between the posts after Rob Green had been sent off against Blackpool and with Sam Allardyce not having named a keeper among his subs.

• He joined Nottingham Forest, on 28-August-2012 for a reported fee of £1 million.

• He spent five years at Forest before joining Aston Villa.

• After his contract at Villa Park was ended by mutual consent, he joined Bristol City, on a short-term deal on 29-January-2021.

    I think we need a player that has had top flight football because we are going to push on again this season , looking at the players that have left though it’s sad to see them go as they served town so well but it’s time to freshen up the team a bit . So far I have been quietly happy with you has come in . So city.
