This time next week, here on Vital Luton Town, we’ll be discussing the outcome of the long trip to Middlesbrough.

The World Cup break, for Championship clubs will, thankfully, be over and life, ahead of Christmas, will be returning to normal.

Or will it?

Every time I watch the weather report, the words -Beast from the East – get a mention, suggesting that we’re set for another very cold snap, a snap that could herald the arrival of four inches of snow.

It’d be just our luck, after a long wait, for the fixture to fall victim to the weather, throwing into the mix the possibility of fixture congestion later down the line.

But I’ve got my fingers crossed that the game goes ahead, after what seems an eternity, Rob Edwards, following the departure of Nathan Jones, will get the chance to select his first Luton Town starting XI.

No doubt the new gaffer has been monitoring the squad closely after they returned from training after a short rest.

Anyone able to predict the starting XI Edwards will go for in his first competitive game as the Hatters boss?
