The defeat, inflicted by Queens Park Rangers, on Sunday, wasn’t something we, here at Vital Luton Town, expected.
It was a bitter pill to swallow but although the Hatters have slipped down to 7th place, in the Championship table, our play-off hopes are very much alive.
Indeed, a win against Preston North End, on Wednesday night, could see us back among those play-off places.
But there are numerous clubs still angling for one of those crucial play-off places, each club realising that every game now resembles a cup tie.
Luton Town have 10 games left, with the fixture list, as thus:

Luton currently have 57 points and there are 30 still available, but, and here is the $64000 question –

Looking at the remaining games I reckon we need circa 13 to 15 points to make the play offs. Could be slightly less but unlikely given the teams in contention. It’s going to go to the wire. I’m expecting a circa 14 points tally from the remaining games. I hope it’s more but much less and I think we’ll miss out. Here’s hoping COYH

Morning mh, As all this is hypothetical I think we are capable of 13 more points by the end of the season. This I think would ensure a play off place. Whether we get them is another matter less may still be enough. But in all honesty I think we will just fall short of a play off place. That said we will still improve on last year.
And ongoing improvement has to be our aim

Hi , I think with a bit of luck we could finish with another 15 points and if we do fall short of the playoffs I still think it’s been a great season , the players have pushed so called bigger and better teams this season so hard . I hate the saying pushing above they weigh as I feel if you win you win so what and ours boys have done us proud so no matter how this season finish’s it’s been a good season . Coyh

the teams are getting very dirty almost dangerous of late. no wonder more injuries are being suffered. luton should have crushed q.p.r. on sunday. the team are playing well,i just love watching campbell, he is all over the pitch. onwards and upwards.COYH.
