According to the Luton News, in addition to Dave Edwards of Shrewsbury, Kevin Blackwell is targeting left back Alan Goodall from Rochdale and Paul Peschisolido from Derby County.

25 yr old left back Goodall is out of contract would be a free transfer, while 36 yr old Peschisolido may be allowed to leave Derby for a nominal fee.

Edwards was left out of Shrewsbury’s play-off final since he was stalling on a new contract and he has decided to exercise his option to leave on a Bosman. However, he would command a fee of some kind as he is only 21 yrs old, and if terms were agreed with the player but not with the club it could go to a tribunal to set the fee.

Meanwhile Swansea have denied any interest in Adam Boyd although Darlington are still rumoured to be interested, and The Luton News reports that Portsmouth are possibly looking at coming in for Leon Barnett because Reading are not keen on Luton’s £3.5m valuation of the player.
