Luton target Parkin still undecided

After Ipswich accepted bids from Luton and Preston for the striker, Sam Parkin is not about to make a hasty decision over which club to join.

Preston Chairman Derek Shaw has stated that Parkin has been very honest with him after talks with bot Luton and Preston.

Shaw, speaking to his club’s official website said:

‘We’ve spoken to Sam and we know he has spoken to Luton as he and his advisor have been very honest with us and I have been told that there are things which favour Luton and there are certainly factors which favour a move to Preston.

‘He wants to sort out some things with Ipswich and he doesn’t appear to be in a hurry to do this overnight, but we should hear more next week.

‘He and his advisor feel that perhaps he rushed into signing for Ipswich last time, he’s lived out of a suitcase down there and he wants the next move to be right for him because he feels at his age, he needs to push on.’
