Regular visitors to Vital Luton Town may be aware of our previous coverage of the Hatters interest in the young Swindon Town player, Scott Twine.

Our article – luton-linked-with-emerging-midfield-star – reported on how Luton, as well as the likes of Brentford and Queens Park Rangers were interested in the 21-year-old.

However, despite being out-of-contract this summer, Scott may not be up for a move away from the County Ground.

According to The 72, Twine may put pen-to-paper on a new deal offered by Swindon Town with our source carrying the following remarks from the talented youngster:

“There is something on the table that I’ve got to think about over the next few weeks. It’s not been a good season, but I enjoy it at Swindon, so we’ll see what’s going to happen.”

“I’m not thinking about my career right now, it’s six or so weeks until June so I’m going to focus on getting myself fit first. I don’t see why I couldn’t go back to League Two – I just love playing football.”

It is always great to read that somebody just love playing the game but, hopefully, over the next few weeks, Scott will realise that to make his mark in the game he will need to test himself at a higher level.

Now whether he will come to that conclusion and agree to join Luton Town remains to be seen.

But, here at Vital Luton Town, we will keep an eye out for any further developments as far as this piece of speculation is concerned.

Hi mh, not sure if we really need this guy. An if reports are true then a centre half may be more needed. Unless naismith, rea, osho can step up if that’s nj thinking. Still Bradley leaving will please one or two on here. As they have been crying out for weeks to rejig the defensive back line

afternoon Chris & all, if the reports turn out to be true regarding Bradley leaving who would everyone on here like to see as captain for next season from the existing squad ?

For me one candidate stands out from the rest, i’d make Naismith captain, he ticks a lot of boxes in what you want from a captain imo

Naismith is a darn good shout Danny

Hi all, after settling in to the team. He’s been outstanding. But how does nj see his role? Personally I like him as a centre half but who knows. But yes he could make a great captain

  • Danny says:

hi MH, no doubt he has plenty of talent but aged just 21 yrs coming from a poor soon to be League 2 side i’m not convinced he’s the sort of player who would be challenging for a starting berth. If bought for the future then fine, but i think our priority should be players that will be ready to play in the Championship.

indeed, his comments are not the sort of remarks you’d expect to hear coming from a promising young player who’s received lot’s of praise

naismith all day long as captain.twine needs to get his head in gear regarding his future. where will kioso fit into the defence,he plays similar to justin, and scores a few goals. hope we get some good players that can pass the ball accurately. fed up with long clearances going nowhere.KDH is a good player, but he is not our future. agree we should get home grown. why is pereira going to be kept on development, show us what he and others can do. C.O.Y.H.

  • Matt says:

The future lies with development of younger players. Hope to see Pereira, Kioso, Osho and of course Adebayo
    playing significant part next season.

  • Peter Scott says:

We need to start looking for players that would get a game in the Premier League in the next 2 Seasons – NJ still has his favorites and has to start playing players by their merit – imagine what Joe Morrell thinks when he is on the bench as an international when players like Berry and Mpanzu get a place before him – thats the reason ND went to Stoke!
