Blackpool (a) beckons for the Hatters this afternoon as they attempt to bring to a halt a poor run of form.
An accumulative total of 1 point from the last 12 available, is far from top-6 finishing form, more like relegation form.
For the trip to a freezing Blackpool, as we mentioned in a previous article β luton-v-blackpool-a-hard-game-to-call.
Nathan Jones promised a bold selection policy for this fixture, as he attempts to bring to a halt the current poor run of form.
But with the team sheet revealed, how has it been received by Luton supporters on social media?
Some seem surprised that Carlos Mendes Gomes has finally been given a chance to shine:
Whoβs this mendes gomes bloke?
Did we sign him? π

Others have questioned the formation:
Would love this team if it were 4-4-2 with Naismith in midfield

Still the wrong formation, we have a 6ft5 striker and don't play wingers…

While the inclusion of James Shea and Reece Burke, with Sluga not travelling north due to an illness, getting the nod:
Great to see Golden gloves @Jamesshea91 and @ReeceBurke back π§‘

But, at the time of writing, I couldnβt find any comments relating to Pelly Ruddock Mpanzu being dropped to the bench!
Oh well!

How Will Luton Town Fare In December?
Still canβt understand Hilton being a sub, any of the kids would benefit from being on the bench
he just could’nt help himself,he had to bring ruddock on. have we not got any one else.baffles me. agree with ken, give the young guys a chance, before they go elsewhere. good win against a good team. COYH
I said at the start of the season – the only thing that can stop us having a good season is NJ doing his tunnell vision over complicated tactics or poor team selection.
Everyone knows the best players and how we should set up. Making 3-4 changes every game is ridiculous – no wonder our best period was when we had an injury crisis.
Team should change very little and only when there is a case of like someone such as Pelly who has been given a couple of games to rectify and hasnt.
Fred, Cornick, Muskwe, CMG and Clark should be up top fighting for the top spots next to Ade. Any of those are real game changes if we need to bring them on and we dont lose any quality in the final third.
The rest of the team picks itself basically Campbell, Lansbury, Bell, Bree Burke Bradley Naismith Sluga. This core should be changed sparingly and only due to injuries or bad form.
The changes we should be making should be up top and to win the game.
Easy being a manager init…..
You really are obsessed jimbo, let it go we DONT pick the team. Just enjoy a 3.0 away win
you are right alan,i should let it go, but i can’t. myself and many others can see ruddocks piss poor performances, time after time. i wonder if you will ever let your obsession with defending ruddock go. i am enjoying the win,but we can be a much better team without your favourite. always enjoy your great knowledge, however biased.COYH.
