Luton Support Not Interested In Keeper Change

Earlier this week, we ran an article that covered the continuing speculation that Luton Town are interested in bringing the Brighton goalkeeper, Christian Walton, back to Kenilworth Road.

Our article – the-man-between-the-sticks-conundrum – covered the possibility that to do so, the possible signing of Walton could result in the departure of Simon Sluga, with the funds received for the Croatian being used to strengthen other areas of the Hatters squad.

To gauge your feelings on that very subject, the following question was used on our poll facility:

Signing Christian Walton And Selling Simon Sluga?

With two options to choose from:

• Yes

and

• No

With the poll having run its course we can now reveal that 82% of those that voted were AGAINST such a move with only 18% IN FAVOUR.

Clearly you have taken Sluga to your hearts, despite an indifferent start to his Luton career where errors were costly when it came to dropping points.

But football, as we all know, can be a strange game and it would not surprise me in the least if Sluga was to leave this summer with the club feeling they are unable to turn down an offer more than the club record fee they paid for him.

Your thoughts on the subject matter would be most welcome in the comment facility beneath this article.

If,we understand, that Slugs is unhappy in this country then a summer move to another English league side would seem unlikely. It would therefore be equally unlikely that Luton would get much of their outlay back by selling him to a Croatian club so might as well keep him for the remainder of his contract in my opinion.
