Luton – Something For The Weekend Sir?

As I may have mentioned before, international breaks are not my cup of tea and are not welcomed by me!

A weekend without my fix of Luton Town is a weekend that just drags on and on and I find myself yearning for the next weekend.

Thankfully, with Monday morning already upon us, our trip to take on Millwall is not that far away.

But how did you spend your weekend?

Personally, I took the opportunity to watch two great sporting events, the Turkish Grand Prix and the World Heavyweight Boxing bout between Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.

The Grand Prix never quite lived up to expectations, but the boxing was something else.

The Gypsy King showed what the word resilience really means, digging deep when a defeat looked inevitable to come back and KO the big-punching Wilder.

Does anyone else remember that day a ring was set up in the Arndale / Mall, in Luton, and a young Tyson carried out a sparring session in front of a few shoppers, giving out signed photos to all those that asked?

It was a surreal experience, on a par with the days a Spitfire was on show in their as well.

I wonder if Tyson were to repeat the experience, how many would should up to watch, far more than on that day when, despite being so young, he was convinced he would become the champion of the world.

watched both as well. the amount of knockout punches that fury avoided was unbeilievable. luton need a bit of his luck now to push on and get some points in the bag. i am a big f1 fan,but there is to much fannying about with this sport ,i am not as keen as i use to be. hope they don’t start changing football in the same way.COYH.
