Yesterday, as the EFL summer transfer window slammed shut, was an interesting period for Hatters fans.

After signing Joe Morrell the previous day, something Vital Luton Town reported upon – luton-set-to-sign-international-midfielder-as-efl-transfer-deadline-approaches – the Hatters managed to get two more deals over the line, with Nathan Jones adding a midfielder and a striker to the club, as confirmed by The BBC.

The midfielder being Kieran Dewsbury-Hall and the striker Sam Nombe.

Dewsbury-Hall, 22-years-of-age, joins the Hatters on a season-long loan deal from Leicester City.

The midfielder is highly thought of at the King Power Stadium as he signed a new four-year deal with the Foxes before putting pen-to-paper on his loan deal with Luton.

At Leicester, he has not made his debut in the Premier League debut but started in the recent EFL Cup tie against Arsenal.

Interestingly, when I rang a friend to tell him that Dewsbury-Hall was moving to Luton, he joked are they moving it brick by brick!

As for Nombe, the 21-year-old joins Luton from Mk Dons on a season-long deal but with the Hatters having an option to buy the striker on a permanent basis.

While on the books of MK Dons, Nombe made 46 appearances scoring on 6 occasions.

Of the two, it is fair to say that I am looking forward to seeing Dewsbury-hall perform regularly in the Hatters midfield but have this suspicion that Nombe will be more of a squad player.

Exciting times are ahead for Luton Town.
