Tuesday evening sees the Hatters back in Championship action when they travel up the M1 to take on Nottingham Forest.

Forest, after a poor start to the season are having something of a renaissance after appointing Steve Cooper as their manager, however, their recent form has seen them draw more games than they have won.

Nathan Jones will approach the game aware that his side have lost their last two games, against Stoke City and Queens Park Rangers, and will looking for his squad to get back to winning ways.

With there being a hectic fixture list at this time of the year, it will be interesting to see whether Nathan rotates his squad.

Against Queens Park Rangers, several of our members vented their anger at what they thought was a poor performance from Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu, something that has become a common theme this season.

Therefore, it begs us to ask the question:

Should Mpanzu Start Against Nottingham Forest?

I think NJ has to leave Pelly out Tuesday. He talks a lot about the depth of squad and how there is competition in every position. Then Pelly has a bad game every week at the moment but still starts and finishes every game.
Hopefully Berry will be back soon and will keep him out.

Doesn’t matter what we want. We are only supporters and nj will put out the team he wants no matter what we want. He has a blind faith in certain players that we cannot change.

  • James MacDonald says:

Pelly should have been dropped some time ago, let’s
the team down and has done so many times this season. Jones seems to favour him regardless of his
    form. A total let down.

agree not playing well from the start of the season

At last question,s being asked of sum ” special performers ” at luton town yes Pelley should be on bench it hasn’t been just this season but more poor performances than good ,and not just Pelley , Bree is another far far to wasteful with the ball when it comes to distribution crossing and dead ball situation,s and can we see the wasted energy directed at official,s and conserntrate on the football

Hello MH Yes Pelly must be dropped having virtues in the dressing room do not show themselves on the pitch. We keep getting beaten on the break by wingers having the pace to beat our usual defenders. Bring back Osho who has the pace (could nearly act as an old fashioned sweeper) Believe we should give Clark another start if he can perform to his pre season form goals may be forthcoming. Feel we need to start with another heavy weight striker like Jerome up front this to create more space for Adebayo. Second half bring on our more pacey players like Cornick and Onyedinma. Still like previous comment Nathan always sticks with his favoured players.

I have said for a while pelly should be benched at least, but I think berry being injured and lansbury’s desire to get booked every game doesn’t. I feel there maybe a couple more who are lucky to be starting at the mo too….

  • Alan says:

    “Doesn’t help” should have said.

  • Peter Scott says:

I think Pelly should be dropped as NJ blamed him for the 1st goal at QPR. He only turns up for one game a season – just rest him for one game although NJ may not play him anyway. We miss Berry so much.

good to see so many people agree that ruddock should be dropped. if he comes back into team, and plays like a championship player ,and not like a league two player, all well and good. can’t see it happening .best wishes to the guy in a coma in hospital, senseless violence, has got to stop. COYH.

  • Alan says:

    Well said jimbo

I have said it before and I will say it again. Pelly seems to be a great person to have around the team. The unfortunate thing is the team has progressed and he is out of his depth. He lacks pace. He is slow on the ball and his first touch is poor. His positional play is rubbish and puts pressure on his team mates. I cannot remember when he last tackled anybody or won a ball in the air and for a midfielder that’s unforgiveable. How many more times has he got to put up his hands to say sorry before he is benched. If I was Campbell, Lansbury, Osho, Clarke,Berry, Rea, Muskew I would be asking why does Pelly appear to be first choice. Please bench him for three games at least and watch the midfield flourish. I would bet my house on a much better midfield performance by all.
Sorry Pelly you seem a great bloke but I love Luton Town.
