Luton Town Reserves played at The National Hockey Stadium on Tuesday afternoon against MK Dons Reserves.

Luton’s starting eleven have all had first team experience, except one, Ben Strang.

Brian Stein was in attendance, and the Hatters played with a 3-5-2 formation, with Coyne, Perrett and Strang at the back, and Adam Boyd and Calvin Andrew up front. Andrew, Brkovic, Coyne and Perrett are all building their fitness after lengthy absences through injury.

Ahmet Brkovic and Dean Morgan played some strong attacking football and on the stroke of half time, Calvin Andrew headed Luton into the lead from a Morgan corner from the left. Good Lord! a striker who can head the ball? Surely not!

Dean Brill looked solid and must surely come into the reckoning as number one keeper, as Marlon continues to struggle for form.

Adam Boyd also looked sharp and young Danny Stevens made some telling crosses when he replaced Brko on 71 minutes.

On 75 minutes a Danny Stevens corner from the right found Calvin Andrew who met the ball powerfully to head home from ten yards.

The final nail was driven in when four minutes from time Stevens got to the by-line and cut the ball back to Boyd, who sidefooted the ball into the net for a 3-0 victory.

The team selection:

Brill,

Coyne, Perrett, Strang,

Brkovic,(Stevens 71) Langley, Holmes, O’Leary,(Ross 82) Morgan,

Andrew, Boyd,

Subs : Stevens, Barrett, Ross, Sinclair, Beavan.
