As we continue to trawl the media, hoping to see who the Hatters might sign this summer, something interesting caught my eye.
A lot of talk, here on Vital Luton Town, has been about bringing in a striker to assist Elijah Adebayo next season, a striker who can get more than his fair share of goals.
But it has also been pointed out that for the strikers to score, they need the service, from the midfield, to do so.
Last night, and as confirmed by The Sun, it was announced that Jack Wilshere, after Bournemouth failed to secure a return to the Premier League, has been released by the club.
Wilshere, on his day, is up there with the best midfielders this country has produced, but his career has suffered through a succession of injuries.
But, born in Stevenage, could Wilshere be the man for us?
Could his silky skills provide the supply of chances our strikers need?
Or would wages and his injury record put the mockers on any such deal?
