Luton – Our Best Starting XI

Image for Luton – Our Best Starting XI

And so, a new week begins, a week in which, come Saturday, we will get to see Luton in action, after the international break completes.

Towards the back end of last week, I found something interesting on one of our associate sites.

Now everyone has their own thoughts as to what, following the squad revamp carried out in the summer, our strongest starting XI is.

The good folk of footballleagueworld put their heads above the parapet to publish their, perceived, best eleven, an eleven that is reproduced below:

• Sluga

• Bree
• Bradley
• Burke
• Bell

• Osho
• Mpanzu

• Onyedimna
• Clark
• Cornick

• Adebayo

With the XI playing in a 4-2-3-1 formation.

But is it an XI you agree with or would you shuffle the proverbial pack?

There are no places for Lockyer, Lansbury or Campbell, for starters.

Please feel free to have your say, on the above subject matter, in the comment facility beneath this article.

Drop Pelly and replace with Lansbury – Pelly is too slow these days and has been directly responsible for 3 opposition goals so far this season! But he is good in the dressing room!

  • Chris winter says:

Agree with Peter, lansbury in an Jerome for cornick. Also would play Campbell

  • Alan says:

Pelly must have been responsible for all the goals against West brom then cos the whole team were shite against brum……

    • Peter Scott says:

Ok how many times has Pelly been in the of the week this season?

      • Alan says:

1…I wasn’t arguing with you, all I said was against brum they were all shite and let in 5, so going by your theory pelly must have been to blame for all 3 at wba…
2…what the hell has team of the week got to do with anything…

  • Graham says:

I don’t see how you could pick an eleven without Naismith.

  • Ally Litchfield says:

To me it is so obvious that Pelly is not good enough if the Hatters are to take the next step. He struggles to have any major influence in games and unfortunately he is dominated. During the last two home games I fail to recall one winning tackle. He fails to win aerial battles. He is too slow and his first touch is below par.i feel sorry for Alan Campbell who is all over the pitch but has no support from Pelly. I hate to critasise any Luton play but this is a key position and we are losing here badly. This puts extra pressure on the defence and limits options going forward. I can see he is a great team man and raises team spirit but enough is enough

  • Alan says:

Although I back pelly to the hilt, I do agree he is struggling, but can I remind his critics and I have posted this on many occasions, that he has been playing while carrying a knock and if the injury list wasn’t so vast, others would have got their opportunity….but hey ho.

alan please listen to the comments about ruddock. he has been good for luton in the past, but he has lost what skills he once had. its time to move on. would you play hylton now, he can’t do it in the championship, neither can ruddock. i appreciate you are a big ruddock fan,but listen to your fellow supporters, they are commenting on his performance,as i have in the past. don’t take it personally.COYH.
