The temporary naming of our ground as the Prostate Cancer UK Stadium, for the match against Wycombe Wanderers put Luton Town Football Club in the limelight.

It also showed that despite our League Two status we are a club with integrity, ambition and soul.

Today (Friday), Luton have once again made the news headlines for all the right reasons.

It has been announced that Luton have become the first, yes that`s right the first, Football League team to commit to paying every employee the living wage.

In doing so we join the Premier League giants of Chelsea as the only fully professional English teams to receive accreditation from the Living Wage Foundation.

In defining the living wage it is termed as the amount needed to cover the basic costs of living, which is deemed to be £7.85 in Luton and £9.15 in London.

Here at Vital Luton Town we`d like to offer our congratulations to those who agreed to commit to this initiative.
