Luton – Mixed Views On Predicted Forest Result

The sun is shining, the turf is invitingly lush, a four-day break has begun, what better way to start the weekend than a win over Nottingham Forest.

After a dip in form, the Hatters are still firmly in the Championship play-off shake up.

With five games to go, nine more points should cement a place.

But can we grab three of those nine against a high-flying, in form Nottingham Forest side?

According to our regular pre-match poll, we can, with 45% of those who voted predicting a Luton win, with a further 28% implying it’ll end in a draw, with the remaining 27% believing Forest will extend their impressive run of consecutive victories.

But how does Sky Sports resident Championship expert, David Prutton, see this one going?

Well, the former Nottingham Forest player believes it will be a close game, remarking ahead of the clash:

“It feels like Luton may have hit the buffers at the wrong time. Three without a win now has given some hope for the sides hoping to nick their spot in the top six between now and the end of the season.

“Nottingham Forest, meanwhile, are simply flying. Five wins in a row, and the team that could most trouble Bournemouth for second spot. It could be close, but Forest’s momentum should see them edge it at Kenilworth Road.”

Indeed, Prutton, who made in excess of 150 league appearances for Forest, in two spells with the club, reckons it’ll end:

Luton Town 1 Nottingham Forest 2

Shall we prove him wrong boys?

My own view is that if the Luton support can crank up the noise, in the midday sun, we can grab the tree points on offer, I’m going for a 3-2 win for the Hatters.

How about you, how do you see this one going?

While I’m no statistician, I’m pretty sure our beloved Luton have always bounced back this season directly after a defeat. So here’s hoping for a great result. Plus plenty of other teams in the mix could easily slip up 👍
