Luton – Midfielder Looking For A Club

Yesterday, on a lovely summers day and sat on a steam train travelling between Whitby and Pickering, something caught my eye.

Whiling away the time viewing the wonderful countryside as the steam train gently wove its way through the North Yorkshire moors, something in The Sun attracted my attention.

Now forgive me if I am covering old ground but I read that Jack Wilshere, a free agent, is looking for a new club.

Last season, Jack was on the books of Bournemouth, only joining them in January of last year, but he was not offered another contract by the south coast club.

Now, when the subject of signing Jack was the subject of one of polls, a while ago – Jack Wilshere to Luton – the support was evenly split with 52% opting for the NO THANKS option and 48% opting for the YES PLEASE option.

In the article I read, Jack, a local lad, was suggesting he was open to offers but wanted to get a new deal as soon as possible with a club.

Which got me thinking!

Nathan Jones mantra, in the past couple of weeks, has always been that there will be no more incoming deals unless someone pops up.

But then again, he has also pointed out he wants to add to his midfield – another-midfielder-is-wanted-by-the-luton-boss – which leads me on nicely to the all-important questions:

Would you consider Wilshere to be a special enough signing, and would you support a deal where his salary would be topped up based on the number of appearances he might make?

Please feel free to have your say on this subject matter in the comment facility beneath this article.

Personally I think he’s too old in njs thinking like me. Nj wants young hungry types. So it’s unlikely we would sign him. An for me it. Would only be on a pay when you play. If he would even consider our wages.

I just threw it out there Chris, too similar to Lansbury if you ask me, not sure he’d make 10 appearances on the bounce without picking up a niggling injury like those that have blighted his career.

It’s a bit like the time we signed Steve Williams a good player but not to sure how many games he would play . But looking back I think it was a good signing and that was not one of the best Luton teams . He is someone who can play that killer pass weather we get on the end of it is another thing . Maybe as Chris said get paid if you play .

No thank you. Wilsher has no pace or power. He has poor discipline and he had his chance a long time ago for luton. A big fat no from me. Cause I am fat and I don’t want him anywhere near us.
