Luton Make January Transfer Window Signing

Stuck behind the desk, at the proper job, I have come home to find something I had waited for all week, had happened.

The Hatters have signed their first player of the January transfer window.

The man in question is Kai Naismith.

Naismith, 28-years-of-age, is a free agent after leaving Wigan Athletic by mutual consent.

Before joining Wigan, Naismith was on the books of Portsmouth, moving north in 2018.

Naismith is able to play in a variety of positions and his acquisition will give Nathan Jones further options.

Signed on a free transfer, this deal is probably indicative of the kind of deals many cash-strapped EFL clubs will be looking to do in these pandemic driven times.

I am reserving judgement on Naismith as I know little about the player but what are your views on the latest player to join the ranks at Kenilworth Road?

Does it get a thumbs up or a thumbs down?

Hi mh, well I was surprised its not someone with any sort of pedigree. But being a left sided utility player may give more balance to the side if he can cross a good ball. So let’s give him a chance he did play a lot for Wigan in the championship an they would have been mid table without a deduction.

He knows the championship, is he any better than we have ? Time will tell…..I know I keep harping on but, Marriott is free……goalscorer……

  • Alan says:

fingers crossed he can be useful to Luton we need some help in scoring goals – Marriott would be handy as well
