Luton – Looking For A Change Of Fortune

Ahead of the clash, at the New Den, with Millwall this afternoon, I thought I would treat you to a few facts and figures.

But, perhaps, I should warn you they do not make pleasant reading.

It appears Millwall (a) is one of those bogey fixtures when it comes to success for the Hatters.

The statistics show that when it comes to the last 6 visits to the South London club, Luton Town have only managed to take 1 point of the 18 available, that’s right one DRAW and five LOSSES.

That solitary point Luton earned came when the game finished 0-0 back in March 2008.

In those six games, Luton Town have only managed to rustle the back of the net on two occasions.

Indeed, if you are looking for when Luton last won away against Millwall, you must go way back to May 1999 when Tony Thorpe netted the winner in a Division Two fixture.

Let’s hope that Luton have better luck this afternoon!

As always a tough fixture as I keep banging on start adebayo an Jerome for this game. Give their defence a hard 60 mins before bringing on pace. Why do you think Millwall have Smith for!!! He only gets used now in certain games. Fight fire with fire.
