The world is full of what-ifs?

We all, I`m sure, sit there and wonder what if such and such had happened, it`s only human nature.

Travelling back from St James Park, on Saturday night, following the 3-1 defeat at the hands of Newcastle United in the FA Cup, I was probably not alone in pondering over what if Danny Hylton`s second goal hadn`t been disallowed for and that blistering shot hadn`t have smacked against the cross-bar and instead had rippled the net to give Luton Town a 3-3 draw in what would have been one of the best comebacks of all time.

For one thing, the Hatters would have been in the draw for the fourth-round of the FA Cup last night and we`d all have been sat around the television waiting for the draw to take place.

We`d have been studying every ball drawn out of the hat waiting for our ball to emerge and then when it did we`d all have given a whoop of delight when the Hatters would have been drawn against the winners of the 3rd round replay between Norwich City and Chelsea.

What if, Stamford Bridge and a 4th round tie against the reigning Premier League title holders had been beckoning?

Ah well, we can but only ponder!
