Luton – Lightning To Strike Thrice Concern

On Saturday, Nathan Jones must have watched on in disbelief as his squad was beset with late injury problems.

Ahead of the game, Jones lost Elijah Adebayo (illness) and then Fred Omnydinma before then losing Admiral Muskwe in the pre-match warm-up and Allan Campbell early in the game.

Now to lose someone during the pre-match warm-up is a rare occurrence but it appears that lightening does strike twice.

Last night, down at Ashton Gate, with the tea sheets already submitted, Nathan Jones was forced to make another change when Sonny Bradley was forced to withdraw, meaning Kal Naismith was promoted from the bench.

Nathan must have been cursing his recent luck with the squad being stretched, on a regular basis, by injuries and pandemic isolation.

Surely, with Swansea City the visitors to Kenilworth Road, this weekend, it cannot happen for a third time, can it?

Although I am, at this moment in time, not prepared to rule anything out.

I feel players are indeviduals an each has to be allowed to settle down in there own way. Gomes although having had 1 season in English football is still very young an his family are in the same position. So really I don’t think we should put to much expectation on him this season remember sluga a much more mature man an what happened to him because of gj.
