Luton – It Is Sky For You

Quite a while ago now, I thought I would take the opportunity to gauge your opinion on televised football.

Now there is no doubting that over the years, live coverage has improved dramatically, from my younger days I can recall just highlights being shown and the occasional live fixture.

More recently, televised live football has been a godsend as we look to emerge from the pandemic driven lifestyle imposed upon us by the government.

But, with live coverage almost reaching saturation point, I was intrigued to know who you thought, when it comes to the three big players, provides the best coverage.

Therefore, it made sense to use the poll facility contained within Vital Luton Town, to ask the following question:

Who Provides The Best TV Coverage?

And I gave you three options to choose from:

• Sky Sports
• BT Sport
• BBC

With the poll having run its course, I am now able to reveal the results.

It appears that Sky Sports is your preferred choice with 55% preferring to watch the satellite station that revolutionised how football was broadcast.

Close behind, with 27% of the votes cast was the BBC, clearly some people prefer the traditional coverage or perhaps, unlike some of us, they do not pay a subscription (apart from the antiquated TV licence) for their football.

Surprisingly, in third place were BT Sport with only 18% of the votes cast.

Now when it comes to BT Sport, I must admit I drew the line at paying any more subscription fees, so I do not have access to it, could the so-called new kid on the block be suffering, as a result, of numerous like-minded people out there?

I would certainly be interested to read your views on the subject matter.

But, with the EURO 2020 tournament now upon us, it opens another debate:

EURO 2020 TV Coverage Your Preference Is?
