Luton – I’m In The Money

It is a big day today; we finally get to see our beloved Hatters in action after the second international break has been cast adrift.

But something else that happened last night is the point of discussion for this article.

Last night the draw was made for the EURO Lottery with a first prize of £185,548,000 up for grabs.

Now I don’t know, as I type, if anyone has laid claim to that huge amount of money, a colossal amount by anyone’s standards, although some might classify as a grotesque amount for, possibly, one person to win.

But it does beg the question, what would you do with such a colossal amount if you won?

Would you be prepared to invest in Luton Town Football Club and if so in what capacity?

Here at Vital Luton Town, we would certainly be interested to hear your views on the subject matter, please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article.

    Hello MH

This is what I would have done had I won that vast some of money in the lottery. First of all I make sure my family and best friends would be financially secure for their lifetimes. The next step would be give large sums pf money to as many charities as possible leaving £50 million for me to decide on individual causes.

For my lifelong football club LTFCI would give £30million to help with better facilities in the new stadium including disabled facilities and lifts where necessary. I would like to become a Director of LTFC with a box in the existing stadium and a similar provision in the new. As a Director I would champion the views and concerns of all supporters . I would further encourage as much interaction with the local community to make the club and the town a place to be proud of.

Hard to say how much I would spend, but any investment would go to the youth setup of the club as that is what I feel is the core foundation of the club. And I would also sponsor one match where I would give each person in attendance free entry to the match!

I’d renovate Kenilworth Road. I’d ban betting advertising…as we do because we are a real club. I’d buy the IKEA’s for watfud games and give them and free travel to Luton fans who hate watfud as much as I do. I would invest in our academy and keep LTFC a club that uses local talent. Athletic Bilbao don’t do too badly only using locals do they. I’d have one stand and call it the
Pound Stand which would replace the embarrassing boxes. It’d be £1 to get in. With the option of donating when buying drinks or food. Free travel to and from KR on match days with a fleet of mini buses that get used for charitable purposes on non match days. That’s just for starters!! But Gary Sweet is doing such a brilliant job with our club that I have no complaints.

Free travel to away games with sponsors paying for tickets. I’d want as many fans to watch the glorious LTFC as possible and for free. Goal music and a drummer would be banned for ever…we aren’t like watfud so don’t need plastic offerings. I would employ a team of social media Luton fans to troll watfuds social media sites with their embarrassing TROPHYLESS history…140 years and still sod all!! Hilarious. I would send a map of watfud to ISIS!
