Regulars to Vital Luton Town may, towards the back end of last week, recall we ran an article about bolstering our midfield.

The article – interest-in-scottish-midfielder-resurfaces – covered Luton town’s apparent interest in the Motherwell midfielder, Allan Campbell.

Today, a possible move to Kenilworth Road for the 22-year-old has been given more credence.

Lurking in the media source, The Daily Record, is the inference that Luton’s interest in the player has been verified by the fact that the legend that is Mick Harford was spotted at Motherwell’s ground, Fir Park, yesterday for their fixture with Ross County.

But, in a twist to the tale, Harford’s trip may have been in vain as Campbell, after missing a game in midweek, was not in Motherwell’s squad for the fixture.

However, his absence could raise the possibility that Campbell may not have been the only reason for Harford to travel so far north!

Or maybe Harford was there to get negotiations started before any other clubs get involved.

The next few months will certainly be interesting as the Hatters seek to reshape their squad, now whether Campbell has been identified as being someone who fits the criteria only time will tell.

Hi mh, interesting that nj claimed we have no interest in Campbell!!! More double bluffing? Or taking the opportunity to scout the real target guess we’ll just have to wait an see.

Could be a bluff I guess, but like Chris says, wait and see….just seen pelly has got an international call up for DR of Congo…many on here bleating on about him not getting in the poncey team of the week, but a call for a country surely means more….
