Luton – Further Midfield Moves In The Pipeline

This week has seen the Hatters make their mark in the transfer market, especially as far as midfield players go.

In a busy week, Luton have added Alan Campbell and Henri Lansbury to their squad, with the players joining from Motherwell and Bristol City respectively.

With the Hatters waving goodbye to Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall, after his loan spell expired, and with George Moncur also departing, it was essential that area of the squad was bolstered.

But, with the duo of Campbell and Lansbury having joined, could we see the departure of another of our midfield contingent?

Ahead of the EURO 2020 tournament, Joe Morrell, who has played more minutes for Wales than he has for Luton this season, hinted he could be looking to leave Luton Town, something we reported on in the following article – luton-facing-midfield-crisis – plus there is also the added complication thrown into the mixer relating to Pelly Ruddock-Mpanzu not putting pen-to-paper on a new deal.

As a result, articles are already appearing on the internet suggesting Morrell is destined for a move, as the link shows – The 72.

But how do you view the situation?

Are you of the opinion we could lose either or indeed both players before the season starts?

And has the signing of Campbell and Lansbury ended any hopes we have that Dewsbury-Hall may return for a second loan spell?

Please feel free to have your say in the comment facility beneath this article and in our poll facility.

Morrell has to go ASAP after his comments if he appears in a luton shirt the faithful will slaughter him. As for pelly his detractors on here will be cheering to the rafters if he leaves. I hope he won’t he’s integral to us and if he went he will be back to haunt us I garenteed it.

Alan I don’t think I’ll hold my breath. I think my grands safe lol 👍 an I see a usual suspect doesn’t rate him says he’s faced crap defenders!!! Obviously doesn’t know he’s played in europa league 😂 and we know nothing about his league

Hi Alan, theoretical debate nj says he wants to progress to do that we need better players. So this kara is valued at 3.15 Mill we need a striker. If he’s earning 3.500 a week as I have heard his wages can be in budget. An at 2 Mill cost surely at 25 yrs of age if he’s a success. Then he could go at a good profit. Surely that’s worth a gamble in the short term. As a one off an at this time we have to risk it?

  • Alan says:

Sounds like you think it’s a goer xhris…lol…

Hi Alan, not at all Alan. It’s just a theoretical debate. Should we be looking for something like this now or not? I see nixon of the sun is saying again we need to offer half a mill for gomes who doesn’t look good enough. It could make sense. As I’ve said in my post. Can it be done. Anyway nixon I think is the clubs stooge for misinformation lol
