Sometimes players who the Hatters manage to get on loan, prove to be invaluable assets while they are wearing our colours.

However, two recent names that spring to mind, Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall and Cameron Carter-Vickers, didn’t hang around long enough for a second season.

I think it is fair to say that most supporters would have loved to see the duo remain at Kenilworth Road.

Dewsbury-Hall has, since leaving Luton, gone on to impress in the Premier League with Leicester City.

But, in this article, I’d like to concentrate on Carter-Vickers.

The centre-back is currently on loan, from Tottenham Hotspur, at Celtic and has had an outstanding season.

His form, as such, is now seeing him being linked by 90 mins with a return to the Premier League, with both Southampton and Fulham showing interest in the 24-year-old.

While wearing our familiar shirt, it was obvious from the off that he was destined for the top-flight, but I can’t help wondering what would have happened if he’d remained at Kenilworth Road.

We can but ponder!

Definitely not counting my chickens as we need to still secure play off place and then enter the play off lottery… But if (Big IF) we do go up this season, would love to see KDH and CCV back in orange and trying to help us fight for survival in EPL ..
