Hard on the heels of the announcement being made that Danny Hylton and Luke Berry had signed new deals, at Kenilworth Road, it is being reported that another Hatters stalwart has also agreed a new deal.

As confirmed by The BBC, 25-year-old Elliot Lee has signed a new deal.

There were fears that, come the end of the season, Elliot Lee would be heading for the exit.

The forward was rarely used whilst Graeme Jones was in charge and must have thought it was time to move to pastures new.

However, the return of Nathan Jones, as was the case with Hylton and Berry, has seen the Hatters career of Elliot rejuvenated.

Indeed, our quoted source carries some encouraging words from Elliot who is reported as having remarked about extending his stay:

“I’m looking forward to next season now when hopefully we can pick up where we left off and build on what we’ve done.”

Lee is a player the supporters appreciate, his goals per game return might not be as prolific as some but he’s the type of player wo always gives 100%, a trier and a competitor and the kind of player the team will need as we seek a ‘better’ season in the Championship next time around.
