Luton: Elliott next?

Kevin Blackwell has returned to work today after a short holiday, so we can expect his efforts to bring in more players to step up another gear.

22 yr old Millwall midfielder Marvin Elliott is the next likely signing according to the Luton News, while strikers Paul Peschisolido, 36, and Paul Furlong, 38, have both been made offers of short term contracts, which they are both considering currently.

It wouldn’t be Luton if there was not a danger of losing our best players, and the newspaper reports ‘interest’ in two players, believed to be Leon Barnett and David Bell.

Watford are known admirers of Barnett and a player/s plus cash deal might be beneficial to the Town, especially if Clarke Carlisle were to be involved. His man of the match performances on loan with the Hatters last season convinced me he would be an excellent addition.

Blackwell’s intended clearance of perceived dead wood at the club could continue with Adam Boyd, Marlon Beresford and Steve Robinson all likely candidates for the chop.
