It just goes to show how wrong the mainstream media can be when it comes to transfer speculation.

Let us take the case of Gabe Osho.

Back in June, MSN were speculating that the 22-year-old, who joined Luton back in November 2020, was set to leave Kenilworth Road.

After loan spells at Yeovil Town and Rochdale, his future was, supposedly, up in the air.

However, it was announced Friday afternoon, by the Official Site that the defender had put pen-to-paper on a new two-year deal, committing him to the club until the summer of 2023.

It is a move those who frequent Vital Luton Town wanted, as the results of a poll we held, earlier this summer, show โ€“ should-luton-keep-gabriel-osho.

In the build up to the new season, Osho has featured in the Hatters side and has given us a glimpse of what he is capable of.

With the news being announced, social media has carried some interesting posts, particularly from Rochdale supporters, for whom he played on loan for last season:

While the Luton fans seem equally as pleased:

But, having been given the number 32 shirt, in the squad renumbering shuffle, the supporter in the following post sums things up nicely:

Osho impressed during the friendly fixtures, now let us see what he can do playing regularly in the Championship, at 22-years-of-age, this could very much be his time and what is commonly called a breakthrough season.

Morning mh, our biggest problem with our young players is that we are denied cat 2 status as we don’t have a indoor pitch that allows us an under 23 team to play in a league against prem an championship sides week in an out. Meaning we have to loan out instead of nurturing them within the club. Due to our council an nimbys in town. Can’t wait for 3.pm ๐Ÿ˜

    • Mad Hatter says:

don’t mention the council, scumbags the lot of them, no foresight!

Hi MH. Havenโ€™t some of that planning committee been given the heave ho? I was under the impression that the council leader is in favour of overturning that decision. The rejection clearly went against the councilโ€™s plan. Why would you lease ground to a football club knowing the purpose it was being leased for and then refuse planning permission? Makes no sense other than a big voice in the planning committee having a personal issue with it and persuading the committee to go with her!

not sure if some have gone but, somewhere down the line, it wouldn’t surprise me f they had plans to build an apartment block there, they’re building them every feckin where else, destroying our town ๐Ÿ™
