Luton boss craves investment

Mike Newell vented his frustrations at the weekend despite a solid win against Crystal Palace, No doubt he was a little jealous that his counterpart at the weekend Peter Taylor was able to throw £2.5 Million down on Shefki Kuqi.

However, Sam Parkin looked the £2.5 million player more than Kuqi on Saturday’s performance.

‘At the moment, the club is going nowhere,’ said Newell, ‘unless there is investment and we are able to go to a new ground, we will just hover where we are for a few years.

‘After that, it will get very hard because we risk losing our best players.

‘I have had indications that there will be new investment, but it is not happening yet. It seems to be on the horizon, but we will have to wait and see.’

Let us all hope that the investment comes soon, and that plans to relocate keep moving in the right direction. It has gone awfully quiet on the new stadium front!
