Luton – And Then There Were Three

With the 2020/2021 EFL season all but over, it will not be long before we are all focussed on the forthcoming Euro 2020 finals.

Delayed last year, courtesy of the COVID-19 pandemic, it promises to be a feast of football with most of it being available on terrestrial television.

But while I will readily admit I will watch most of the games, I am sure I am not alone in hoping those who play for Luton fare well.

Last night, we only had Joe Morrell (Wales) and Simon Sluga (Croatia) to look out for.

However, football is a strange game and after going to bed last night having not made the final 26-man Welsh squad, Tom Lockyer will be doing a jig of joy this lunchtime as it has been confirmed that he will be part of the squad after another defender, James Lawrence, has been forced to withdraw from injury.

It will be interesting to see how much action the trio get as the competition goes about its merry way.

Here at Vital Luton, we wish all three the best of luck.
