Come on, singalong, you must all recall, with fondness, the chant that used to regularly erupt from the Hatters support as the countdown to the local derby began.
Nowadays, the media describe our clashes with Watford as the M1 derby, to me the terminology used is a little more industrial.
If there is one big regret from this, never to be forgotten, pandemic, it is that after waiting so long to play Watford again, after slipping into non-league football and taking what seemed like an eternity to climb back to where we are, is that the fixtures will be played behind-closed doors.
It is, to put it mildly, a real kick in the teeth!
Nevertheless, as with so many things in the past year in which society has changed perhaps never to return to how we knew it, the mere mention of the fixture gets me all excited.
Over the years, there have been so many wonderful encounters and over the next five weeks, here at Vital Luton Town, we will be recollecting several, as the anticipation levels rise ahead of the game.
So, stick with us and see what we can come up with.
Altogether now:
“There’s only five weeks to Watford, five weeks to Watford……………………..”

morning all, plenty of good material there MH, for me the most memorable games have mainly been away at the allotments. I’ve sat/stood in every stand at their place and seen us win 🙂 though wearing colours didn’t go down well on several occasions !

Agree with KentHorn, that 4-0 hammering was awesome. I also enjoyed the Boxing day clash where we won 2-0 at your place when you banned away fans. Half the ground jumped up when we scored … hilarious !!
please keep your desperate fantasies to yourself harry
