Whilst several of the current Hatters squad are pondering over their futures, with Nathan Jones re-shaping the squad he inherited from John Still, one player has convinced the boss he`s vital to the Hatters cause.

Olly Lee, who had penned a contract when he first joined the club that lasted until 2017, has been rewarded for his endeavours with a twelve month contract extension.

Perhaps the fact that Lee has appeared in 14 of the 19 games Nathan Jones has presided over was an indication that Lee is an essential part of Jones future plans for Luton Town.

Talking to the press this afternoon, Jones commented about the deal,

“We`ve renewed Olly Lee and he`s got another year now.

“He`s a good age, wants to learn, get better, will have to get better if he really wants to kick on in his career.

“But he has some wonderful ability. He was one of our most influential players at the weekend again”

Our congratulations go to Olly and our hopes are that he can kick on and fully fulfil his potential.
