With the January transfer window now open, it remains to be seen whether the club will take the opportunity to bring in any additions to the squad.

However, news broke today that will have brought a smile to Hatters supporters faces.

The news vehicle, Football League World, picking up on something announced on the Hatters official site, has confirmed that Nathan Jones has put pen-to-paper ona new deal.

Jones, 44-years-of-age, has signed a deal that will see the Welshman remain at Kenilworth Road (hopefully) until 2022.

Jones has been with Luton for two years and during his time with the Hatters has presided over 114 fixtures, of which 59 have been victories and 26 have been defeats.

In signing the new contract, Jones has signalled his intent to remain at Kenilworth Road and help guide the Hatters to bigger and better things.
