It’s Wake Me Up Before You Go Go Time

I suppose I should be grateful that the Hatters have been chosen for live coverage, by Sky Sports, this Saturday lunch-time.

After all, I guess it is a testament to the quality of football we play as well as the quality of the opposition, Barnsley, we face.

But, I’m probably not the only supporter who isn’t too impressed with the high noon kick-off.

After working my nuts off all week, I look forward to a Friday night out with the lads, even though Luton town centre doesn’t appear to be found to be attractive any more to the drinking fraternity.

Unfortunately, my dalliance in the bars tonight will be curtailed early as I’m aware there will be a sharp knock on my front door around 07:00, just as daylight is breaking, as the gang make me their last pick up before heading off to South Yorkshire in order to make opening time in some northern ale-house.

I reckon by the time I get home I’m going to be cream-crackered and too tired to have a Saturday night on the tiles, therefore you can see why I’m not a fan of these early kick-offs.

But, it seems, some do like to hear that shrill blast on the referees’ whistle to signal the start of the match:

But, what’s your opinion on high-noon kick-offs?

Are you in favour or against?
