It’s Time For Hatters Fans And The People Of Luton To-Do Their Duty

Could you have ever imagined doing this?

Just a couple of weeks ago I’d have scoffed at the suggestion that come 20:00 hours this evening, we all stand in our front gardens and clap our hands.

It would have been perceived as madness.

But tonight, that is exactly what I’m going to do, and I urge you to do the same.

We’re in the grip of a pandemic, life isn’t what it used to be and we’re not sure how long this is going to go on for.

The whole of the UK has been urged to stay indoors, to self-distance and prevent the spread of this COVID-19 virus, were in the midst of a pandemic that has seen huge quantities of people die.

Except there are people that cannot stay indoors and cannot self-distance, those people deemed by the government to be key-workers, NHS staff, supermarket workers, bin collectors, transport workers, all people who are putting themselves in the front-line and at risk from COVID-19.

Therefore, I urge all Luton supporters and everyone in our town to stand out outside at 20:00 hours, this evening, and applaud as loudly and as long as you can.

If your neighbour can’t be arsed, shame them into joining you, those key workers deserve this recognition and thanks.

In other words, simply DO YOUR DUTY.
