It’s Premier League Opposition For Luton As The Fourth Round Draw Of The Carabao Cup Takes Place

|

After seeing off the challenge presented by Cardiff City, a Premier League team last season, with an emphatic 3-0 win, on Tuesday evening, Hatters fans were eagerly awaiting the draw for the Carabao Cup 3rd round last night.

With it being the first time Hatters had reached the third round of this domestic cup competition for 12 years, earlier in the day I’d hoped for a Premier League tie, at home, preferably against Watford.

Well, as it turned out, we did get a home draw against a Premier League club with Leicester City being the opposition.

The tie will see a quicker than expected return to Kenilworth Road for James Justin who left Luton Town for a move to Leicester City in the summer transfer window.

Here at Vital Luton Town, we’d expect the Hatters faithful to give Justin a good reception after his achievements in a Luton shirt.

As for the actual tie against Leicester City, which will take place in the week commencing 23rd September, it is a tie that will test the Hatters but there’s no reason why we can’t spring a surprise and get another win.

As for Watford, they were given a home tie against Swansea City, perhaps our paths will cross in the next round, you just never know!
