It`s only a pre-season friendly!

Out in Portugal, tuning and toning their bodies up for what promises to be an enjoyable season in League Two and one in which Luton supporters have high expectations, the Hatters played a friendly fixture on Thursday evening.

Their opposition were the Portuguese second division side Farense and Luton were to be beaten 2-0.

John Still utilized a fair proportion of his squad with run-outs given to new-boys Andy Drury and Paul Connolly but were beaten courtesy of a goal in each half from their hosts with the one in the second half coming from the penalty spot.

Luton had appeared to have scored a consolation goal late on but the effort converted by Scott Griffiths, from a corner, was ruled out for an infringement.

Nothing to worry about though, it`s still early days!
