This Saturday the Hatters welcome Cambridge United to Kenilworth Road.

The last time Luton Town played at Kenilworth Road, if my memory serves me right, was when the Hatters beat Portsmouth in the FA Cup 1st round, 1-0.

Following that win the Hatters support were hoping for a second-round tie, possibly at home, which would see them in the hat for the third-round draw and a possible lucrative tie against a Premier League side.

But, when the balls were drawn the Hatters were awarded a tricky away tie against the non-league side Gateshead.

The tie, not the most attractive of ties, means the Hatters support face a long away trip.

However, at least, now the TV picked matches have been sorted, the Hatters know when their game will be staged.

Luton will play Gateshead (a) on Sunday 3 December with the game set for a 14:00 kick-off, which, by my reckoning, should have us back home in time for 21:00 hours in the local, barring any major traffic hold-ups.

Then we can discuss whether we`ll be playing Watford home or away in the third round!
